Bulgur Wheat

I first had this type of grain out at a restaurant that had it mixed into a risotto along with regular aborio rice. I loved it so much I had to make my own version at home!  Since then I have been serving it as our side dish and mixing it up many different ways.  I love this grain because of its unique nutty flavor and chewy type of texture.  It is similar to rice in that it is blank pallet for you to mix it up many different ways.  However, it is a perfect side as is!  I particularly love it as a side dish with my Grilled Vegetables.  Give it a try and let me know what you think – one taste and you may be hooked as I am!  Try a couple of my recipes or mix it up your way with your favorite ingredients!
