I love orzo pasta because it is a like a blank canvas for adding ingredients to your liking for a side dish or a one dish meal. Not only that it can be served warm or chilled which makes it perfect for taking to gatherings. If serving chilled (which means you are making it ahead of time) make it a one dish meal and when you get home dinner is already done! Because of its wonderful creamy and buttery flavor it is fantastic as is with fresh grated parmesan cheese!
