Traditional Martini

A great drink to kick off the night that is shaken, not stirred! This is my nephew, Jonathan’s rendition of the classic drink. Shake it up and enjoy! I have put ingredient amounts in cups and tablespoons as well as ounces because I think that it will be easier for the home cook/mixologist to make. Want to make it different? Stuff the olives with Gorgonzola cheese instead of the pimentos to make it unique!

Ingredients

3 oz. Vodka (1/4 cup and 1 tablespoon)
1 oz. Vermouth (2 tablespoons)
Ice
Olives for garnish

Technique

The ingredient amounts will yield one drink. In shaker add all ingredients, except for olives. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. No ice should be present. Garnish with olives and enjoy!
