Making your own pita chips is generally healthier than the purchased kind, you can control the saltiness and you can jazz them up with different seasonings. You can choose from the typical pita or even try the whole wheat versions. Try these with my recipes Baked Feta Cheese with Mixed Peppers, Baked Fresh Mozzarella with Tomatoes and Zatar Seasoning or Rosemary and Garlic Hummus.
1 package of pita bread 7 – 8 inches in diameter
Cut each pita into 8 pie shaped pieces. Place into a preheated oven at 375 degrees for about 8-10 minutes until crisp and slightly browned.
