Caramelized Cipollini Onions in a Balsamic Reduction

Great as a side, on a pizza or sandwich. Take a few minutes to make these unique and tasty onions and see what you can create!


8 cipollini onions thinly sliced
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar


Heat olive over medium high heat in a medium skillet. Add onions and sauté until edges start getting a light golden brown. Add sugar and sauté until caramelized. Add balsamic vinegar and reduce the vinegar by half. Serve family style as a side dish or top with your favorite dish!
