Garlic and Herb Rice

This rice is very aromatic and bursting with flavor! It is a great side dish to any meal! If you do not have The Pampered Chef’s Rosemary Herb Season Mix, try using a mix of dried herbs, such as, rosemary, oregano and thyme. If you have fresh herbs, use them instead. Make sure you mince them though.


1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 medium garlic cloves, minced or pressed through a garlic press
1 cup white or brown rice (not minute rice)
2 1/4 cups of chicken broth
1 teaspoon of The Pampered Chef’s Rosemary Herb Season Mix or fresh herbs
Parmesan Cheese to garnish


In a medium pot over medium heat, sauté garlic in olive oil about 30 seconds. If using fresh herbs add at the same time as the garlic. Add the rice, broth and seasoning (omit dried if using fresh) and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered for about 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. The rice may need to rest for 10 minutes for most of the liquid to be absorbed. Serve with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese.
