Mexican Chocolate Fondue

Fondue is a fun dessert because it can be made many different ways and family and guests can choose what they want to dip in the chocolate.  Mexican chocolate was used instead of the traditional chocolate, but you can use your favorite chocolte and dipping foods.  Try adding pound cake, marshmallows or graham crackers.

1 circle (tabilla) of Abuelita Mexican chocolate cut into pieces for quicker melting
1 – 15 oz. can of lite coconut milk
½ cup of semi sweet chocolate morsels
For Dipping
2 bananas sliced into pieces
1- 8 oz. container of organic strawberries
1 – 15 oz. can of pineapple chunks (drained) or fresh pineapple

In a medium sauce pan combine all fondue sauce ingredients and melt over low heat. Whisking constantly to prevent from burning. Once chocolate has melted pour into fondue bowl. Light the candle beneath the fondue bowl, once plated and is in the place it will be served. Plate with fruit or any other items you would like with the chocolate. Serve with fondue forks or wooden skewers, dip and enjoy!
