Paniniâ€™s are a wonderful sandwich that can be made several different ways. This style uses fresh mozzarella cheese, Italian salami and arugula for a perfectÂ ItalianÂ sandwich! Â The ingredient amounts will make one sandwich and can be doubled, tripled, quadrupled or more depending on how many people you are serving.
Ciabatta bread, cut desired amount from bread and sliced in half (about 4â€ by 6â€)
2 large thinly sliced pieces of Italian Salami
2Â thinly sliced pieces of Fresh mozzarella cheese
Fresh arugula leaves, enough to cover inside of sandwich
1 tablespoon antipasto artichoke spread smeared on bottom slice of bread
Olive oil for brushing outside of bread or use non-stick cooking spray
Spread antipasto over bottom slice of bread. Layer salami, mozzarella cheese and arugula leaves on bread. Brush bottom and top outside pieces of bread with olive oil and cook on a preheated Panini grill for about 3-4 minutes.Â If you do not have a panni press, use a grill pan and wrap a brick with foil for the press.Â You will need to flip the sandwich if using a grill.
