The USA is a melting pot of cultures and here in Texas we tend to have a lot of Mexican and Tex/Mex culture along with good friends that have immigrated here from Mexico. So it should come as no surprise that we celebrate their Independence Day along with them as they also celebrate with us our Independence Day. Just as my Grandparents immigrated from Norway in hopes and dreams of a better future so did our Mexican friends. With this dream for all of us let’s celebrate Cinco de Mayo with our friends from Mexico!
