Popsicles are a great summer time treat. This version is my youngest son’s favorite! The shape is perfect too – a rocket! I am using a home made simple syrup, but you can purchase the bottled kind too. Popsicles are a great way to use leftover juice that your “little chatter’s†don’t drink from the juice box/pouch. This recipe will make six popsicles and the device I am using has six popsicle holders. See Chatty Advice on the device I am using to make these.
Ingredients
1 – 16 oz. container of strawberries cleaned and stems removed
1/2 cup of water
3/4 cup of Simple Syrup
Technique
Make Simple Syrup per recipe instructions and set aside. Blend strawberries and water and strain to remove seeds. Add simple syrup to strained strawberry juice. Insert molds into holder and pour mixture into molds. Place in the freezer for about 4 hours.
Chatty Advice
The device I am using to make the popsicles is Tovolo brand Rocket Pop Molds and can be purchased at Sur la Table for about $12.00 or on-line at Tovolo.
