Baked Tortilla Strips

Tortilla strips are very easy to make and are great for soup or salads and you can jazz them up with different seasonings.


12 corn tortillas cut into strips
1/4 cup of olive oil or vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt


To make tortilla strips, place the cut strips on a nonstick cookie sheet in a preheated oven 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Check every few minutes, and toss with tongs to make sure that all pieces cook equally. Remove once strips are crisp and a light brown.
