Gin and Tonic

Most people think that gin tastes like a Christmas tree and that was my first take too. However, my former colleague and I used to drink these during our various business trips many years ago. Now I think of it as an extremely refreshing cocktail. This is my rendition on the cocktail and it always reminds me of her and our special times together. I have also put ingredient amounts in cups, because that is how I made it and I think that it will be easier for the home cook/mixologist to make.

Ingredients

1/4 cup (2 oz.) of Gin
1/2 cup (4 oz.) of tonic water
Fresh lime washed and cut into 6 wedges (use one per drink or more if desired)
Ice

Technique

The amounts above will yield one drink. Fill a glass with ice, add gin, fill remainder with tonic water, squeeze limes into drink, swish lime around the glass and drop into the glass or garnish on the side of glass as shown.
