Homemade Whipped Cream

Whipped cream is a great topping for cakes, waffles, pancakes and ice cream sundaes. This is a great way to have your kids help you in the kitchen. They can add the ingredients to the mixing bowl and watch magic happen right before their eyes. A liquid to a wonderful peak of sweetness.


1 cup of heavy whipping cream
¼ cup of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Cinnamon for garnish (optional)


Place a medium bowl in the freezer for 5 minutes, remove and add cream. Using a mixer beat on high until soft peaks form. Add sugar and vanilla and beat for 1 minute. Do not over beat.
