White Pizza with a Garlic Butter Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Artichoke Hearts and Grape Tomatoes

Not only a unique and delicious pizza, but kids can have fun helping by making a pattern on the pizza with the vegetables. The amount of grape tomatoes is an estimate, use how many you like to create you own unique design. Please allow dough ball 4 – 6 hours to thaw and double in size or use your favorite pizza dough.

Ingredients

1 pizza dough ball from Sam’s Club, your deli department thawed or your favorite pizza dough
Non-stick cooking spray
2 tablespoons of corn meal
1 – 14 oz. can of artichoke hearts drained and quartered
20 grape tomatoes sliced in half
1 – 12 oz. package of sliced fresh mozzarella
2 tablespoon of butter
2 garlic cloves pressed through a garlic press or 2 cubes of Dorot brand garlic cubes
6 big leaves of basil cut using the chiffonade technique
1/3 cup of olive oil
A sprinkle of kosher salt

Technique

Place dough ball in a large bowl coated with non-stick cooking spray, cover with plastic wrap, thaw and allow and double in size. This should take about 4 – 6 hours. Cut tomatoes in half and artichokes into quarters and set aside. Spray pizza pan with non-stick cooking spray. Evenly spread corn flour over pizza pan, this is to prevent sticking and to make a crispier crust. Using your hands, flatten and shape dough to desired thickness and size on the pizza pan. In a small pot over low heat add butter, garlic, basil and oil. Stir until butter is melted and flavors have blended. Pour onto pizza dough. Using a spoon evenly distribute the butter sauce over the dough. Decorate the pizza however you like, by evenly distributing the fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Before baking sprinkle a little bit of kosher salt over the entire pizza. Bake in preheated oven on the lower rack at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
