Slow Cooked Beef Short Ribs

Talk about an easy dish that has enormous flavor!  All you have to do is dump everything into a Dutch oven and let the oven do the work for you.  In about 2 hours you will have a falling off the bone, delicious restaurant style meal!  Serve a rib per person with your favorite sides for a perfect meal for 4.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs of short ribs about 4 ribs
A sprinkle of kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper
1 large yellow onion thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups of ruby port

Technique

Season the meat side of the ribs with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper. Place meat side down into a Dutch oven. Top with sliced onions and port. Cover and place into a preheated oven at 300 degrees for two hours or until meat easily falls off the bone.

Try Baked Mashed Redskin Potatoes with Greek Yogurt and Rosemary, Cheesy Herb Mashed Potatoes, Garlic and Herb Rice or Creamy Mixed Mushroom Rice.
